Vernon & Park Capital, L.P. ("VPC") is a private equity firm that focuses on investments in the Exchange and Financial Market Sector ("Sector").
VPC invests primarily in equity and equity‑related securities of public and private companies in the Sector. Examples of companies in the Sector include those involved in electronic trading, market-making, trading platforms and tools, market data and information, and transaction clearing and settlement operations, as well as products, technology and services related to each of the above. While the primary investment focus of VPC is on privately-owned businesses in the Sector, VPC will also invest in publicly-traded companies in the Sector. VPC focuses on companies located in North America, but also will consider non‑U.S. companies for its portfolio. Investments in companies typically range from $1 to $10 million. For larger transactions, VPC will partner with other firms, providing strategic value to an expanded pool of capital.
James S. Ginsburg is the Managing Partner of VPC. Mr. Ginsburg is a well known investor within the exchange industry and has a strong investment track record. He brings to VPC significant experience selecting, evaluating and monitoring investments in the Sector, as well as a valuable network of industry contacts. Mr. Ginsburg is or has been a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, the New York Stock Exchange, the Pacific Exchange, the New York Mercantile Exchange and the New York Board of Trade. |
